In a sea of astrological approaches, why did I choose Hellenistic?

Short answer?
I couldn’t understand Placidus. LOL. One look at a whole sign chart however, and everything fell into place.

Long answer?
Hellenistic Astrology is the ancient backbone of Western astrology, born in the chaotic brilliance of the Greco-Egyptian world around 100 BCE. It’s very different from modern psychological astrology—this system is technical, precise, and unapologetically predictive. It uses whole sign houses, planetary sect, and timing techniques like profections, solar returns, and zodiacal releasing to track real-life events and turning points sometimes with eerie accuracy.

This method to astrology was LOST FOR ROUGHLY 1,300 YEARS due to a lot of historical factors (cough cough wheeze), and was only revived in the early 90s with Project Hindsight – a small group of astrologers who painstakingly decoded ancient scrolls to put together the puzzle pieces of this intricate system we know and love today. Cool right?

As an intuitive, I don’t just read your natal chart—I absorb and Google Translate the heck out of it. Hellenistic astrology gives structure to the work I already do. It confirms, it deepens, and sometimes it just tells me what to tell you, verbatim. Combined with tarot and energy work, it becomes a full-spectrum toolkit: we get timing, we get symbolism, and we get real transformation—not just “wait and see,” but why, how, and when (if applicable).

And let’s be clear: not everything can or should be answered. 

That being said, I also use some modern techniques like secondary progressions and composite charts, because they’re wildly useful in the kind of work I do. I’m not loyal to dogma—I’m loyal to what works.

My technique isn’t fatalistic, as I still believe in the cosmic dance between fate, agency & alchemy. I won’t offer predictions unless I see a repeating pattern that screams at me.

So, to end this: I don’t do fortune-telling. I do pattern recognition, timing, healing, and the occasional cosmic roast—so you can move through your life with power & surrender, not guesswork.
