Pride Comes Before The Fall of Pluto

May I have your attention please. I repeat, may I have your attention please. All Cardinal Risings: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn Risings: This is the FINAL COUNTDOWN. I repeat. This is the FINAL COUNTDOWN.

take me back

I think the collective can raise a glass to this momentous event. On the 11th of October (12th if you’re in the Philippines), Pluto stations direct at the very last degree…the anaretic degree of Capricorn. Astrologers everywhere are going berzerk with the October-November skies, putting us all on the edge of our seats waiting in anticipation for the “promised events” (air quotes def necessary) to unfold before our very eyes. Pluto stationing direct after more than a month in retrograde back in Cap is just one part of our astrological weather in the plethora of chaos and uncertainty that is 2024.

However, you must understand, this is Pluto’s LAST STAND in Capricorn as evolutionary astrologist Steven Forrest calls it. The very last in our lifetime. We will never again experience Pluto in Capricorn for as long as we live. Ever. Again.

There’s a lot to say about this, but I’ll try my darnest to keep this blog short, to the point, and cutthroat, just the way we like it. Ha! Snort.

We must begin with Hades. Hades is a mthrfuckr. There. Blog over.

Ok. Let me try that again. Hades is important. Pluto is important. Although it has been demoted to dwarf planet, it still knows how to pack a punch and trust me, sometimes, we need to be smacked in the face. Hard.

ok, except for chris rock who was just doing his fucking job

Toxic masculinity aside (trust me, I’ll go there) Pluto is a planet whose placement in your chart can define your most important transfigurations in life. I don’t need to go into the mythology of Hades here as I’ve kinda done that in my last post – kind of – but for now I think it is more important to discuss some significations of Pluto be it natally or thru transit in a chart:

Pluto in a Chart

  • Transformation
    – creation and destruction
    – purification and catharsis
    – karmic and unfinished business
    – unearthing the depths of our souls
    – volcanic eruptions: exposure of secrets; time’s up
  • Power, intensity, obsession and control
    – POWER STRUGGLES
    * placement in chart can make you feel POWERFUL or WEAK.

Pluto has the ability to make small things big, and big things small. It has the ability to transform, transcend, and in many cases, disrupt. When Pluto was transiting over my first house in 2001, I was pulled into the darkness of depression and anorexia nervosa. But at the exact same time, I was writing like a mthrfucking beast, creating my best songs every other day.

When Pluto passed over the AC (Ascendant) of The United States of America (using the Sagittarius Rising sibley chart), the whole world witnessed 9/11 from our TV screens. Whether it was a terrorist attack or a ploy to gain access to oil in the Middle East – the archetype is clear: power, destruction and greed.

america, y’all

That’s right. The US has Pluto in Capricorn as its natal signature. How telling.

Which brings me to the darkness. It’s important to understand that every person, planet and sign has a shadow side. What I love about my job is that we don’t pull out the darkness and stomp on it. Instead, we lure it out and embrace it. We call it family as it is a part of ourselves. And then we find ways to co-habit without killing each other.

there were cookies!

Greed is part of our humanity. Each and every single one of us has even an ounce of it whether we like to admit it or not. Be it monetary, dominance and sovereign over the masses, a partner’s rules, gluttony…and so much more, greed is part of our everyday lives. The problem lies when we allow it to have complete control over us.

Now. Let’s talk about Pluto’s shadow side.

Pluto’s Shadow Side

  • God of Wealth & Ruler of the Underworld
    – Plutocracy: the rich and powerful
    – mining; gold (and these days…oil)
    – criminal underworld
    – sexual underworld
  • Intense hunger (remember my last post on Ceres?)
    – for food, sex and ALL KINDS of power

Capricorn’s Shadow Side

  • They get what they want, even if they step on you
  • Arrogant, critical and judgmental; has high expectations of themselves and others
  • Status quo; traditional; conservative
  • Depending on how you see it: STINGY and/or GREEDY
Withholding anything: money, children, their work
  • Work & Reputation – climbing up that corporate ladder
    – “I need to earn it”
  • Regret and self flagellation
    – “I didn’t work hard enough”

Look guys, I have a Capricorn Moon. This is what makes me look like a cold-hearted bitch with a body that resembles Benjamin Button.

hello, i am sexy seagoat

note: Capricorns are great stabilizers. They learn their lessons and implement them as needed. Their eyes look dead and soulless but can be marshmallows when you hit the right buttons. But that’s not what this blog is about. This blog is about the baaaaaad.

So imagine the intensity of having Pluto in Capricorn for the last 16 years…yes, 16. That’s nothing compared to the 19 we get with Aquarius, but that I am excited for. But that’s another post. So let’s do a brief review of Pluto’s run in Capricorn, shall we? Ahem.

The Majestic Pluto in Capricorn 2008-2024

  • Economic/Housing Crash
  • Occupy Wall Street
  • Brexit
  • Cryptocurrency
  • Wikileaks, Julian Assange and Edward Snowden
  • Me Too
  • The 2016 Elections
  • All the effin wars in the world

It seems that the commonalities are: the power in corruption, capitalism and exploitation; men vs women; 99% vs 1% and the start of the downfalls of oligarchies and authoritarianism. Of course there is a more extensive list, but we want to keep this short, right?

Pluto in Capricorn is all about keeping authority where it has been for centuries: with the penis. Whether we are talking about the Head of the Church, Head of the Nation, Head of the Boardroom or Head of the Table, most likely it’s got a penis. BUT, we must take note there are biological Female Dark Fathers out there who we tend to call Iron Ladies. Now, let’s put that aside.

Let me begin by saying that we probably don’t have the most accurate charts to these public figures as they are public figures, they want to keep some things…well…private. While the house placements may be wrong, the key planets still have an important story to tell.

First up: Puff Daddy…Ok fine…P. Diddy. Although we have no birth time (which is super essential for an accurate reading), we still know that Pluto at the 29th degree of Capricorn is right there on his Natal Mars – also on the 29th degree of Capricorn.

note: Puff’s Mars placement can very well be situated from 29 Capricorn to 0 Aquarius. Either way, it’s still extremely potent.

pawaaaa

This is it. Karmic consequences finally getting down to business. Scandals that were kept hidden by the entertainment plutocracy are now being brought to light. It’s important to note that the raids in his homes were done on March 25, 2024 during a Libra eclipse. Months later, he was indicted on September 16, 2024, during the first Pisces eclipse which directly opposed his natal Pluto placement. His Venus-Jupiter conjunction in his Libra house is all about the excessive indulgences that have finally been exposed by his debilitated Pluto.

In antiquity, solar eclipses were used to predict the death of a king. These days while that can still be literal, it can be the fall of power from someone at a high place. In this case, someone who has controlled so much more than just the music industry for as long as he did. I mean, sure. He’s the fall guy. And every fall guy has a mentor. Maybe Pluto in Aquarius will start a different revolution. I guess we’ll just have to find out.

Next up, we have Benjamin Netanyahu.

“fetch me that poisoned doughnut will you, smithers”

Whoops. Wrong guy. Wait.

“bombing children? excellent.”

This monster was born under a solar eclipse in Libra (in October of 1949) and it’s scary how 70+ years later on the exact same month, his Pluto-Mars conjunction in Leo has decided to level up his power by completely obliterating the land and people that never belonged to him. It’s interesting to note that this is happening in his 9th house – of foreign things.

Remember that Mars is separating, cutting, inflaming, destroying…it is the God of War. You mix that with Pluto which is about destruction, death, chaos…that isn’t the best combo. Leo is the sign of the lion. It is the king of the jungle. All this an inflated sense of power and hunger that destroys lives. Literally.

What’s interesting is that Israel’s sibley chart also has the same Pluto-Mars conjunction in Leo, but this time in the 11th house of friends, allies and benefactors. Hmm. I wonder who Israel’s greatest benefactor is????

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

And last but not the least, Vladimir Putin.

ahhhhhh, a man!

No? Ok.

Here.

close enough

Ahhh. I can feel the “Essence of Man” so strongly with this one. The stench is undeniable. Even the poor horse is miserable and pondering the hand the fates have given him. In any case, let’s look at his Pluto placement, shall we?

This one is pretty easy. His Pluto is 1 degree away from his MC (MC stands for your “midheaven”, which can be your career, reputation, what you’re known for, praxis – where you take action…etc.). Let me say that one more time. His Pluto is 1 degree away from his MC. In the 10th house of Leo. How Napoleon Bonaparte of him.

It’s also something to note that he has Neptune and Mercury in a 2 degree orb in his 12th house of Libra which pretty much sums up to one word: PROPAGANDA. The illusion of a Great Russia thru the foggy lenses of government owned media is so apt, it makes the astrology too literal.

Ok, I’ma stop here. Keeping it short, Brit. Keeping it short.

Here are some notes on how to evolve with Pluto instead of having it kick you in the ass:

  • Look. Pluto doesn’t have to be difficult. You can be blessed by the transformation when you choose to see the blessings in disguise.
  • Hades isn’t this ferocious beast he is usually portrayed to be. OK OK, maybe that was a bit of a stretch. But compared to Zeus, his punishments are pretty lame. I guess what I’m getting at is that you can allow yourself to be the better version of Pluto: cool, calm and collected. A little sardonic at times, cuz lesbionest, a sense of humor can save your soul.
  • Pluto carries the knowledge of HOW TO GET HOME. Your real home. How to return to YOU and who YOU ARE.
  • Pluto AND Persephone (with Ceres) are also about AGRICULTURE. Planting seeds. Food and crops. Nurture and bounty. It’s not just money, gold and mining. This is how the seasons come about: work hard, work right, then later on, harvest.

So, there are two things I want you to do:

  1. Take a look at your wholesign natal chart and look at where Pluto is. What sign is it at? What house? What other planets does it aspect?

Transitviewer.net is a new free tool where you can get more information on your chart if you don’t know how to interpret your natal placements. But there are so many other tools out there like astro.com and astroseek.
  2. Check where Capricorn is. What house is it at? Do you have any planets in Capricorn?

Check the wholesign meanings of the houses and remember that THIS is the place in which Pluto is taking its last stand.

Let me give you an example.

  1. I have Pluto in my 11th house of Libra conjunct Saturn and Mars alongside the asteroids Pallas Athene, Eros and Prey.

The 11th house is all about allies, friends, groups, benefactors and sometimes, your following (like in social media). The planets I mentioned have very strong, arrogant and fighty energies in different manifestations.

Therefore I have a mix of blessings where I have my “cult following” do the marketing for me thru word of mouth…and difficulties where many of my friendships are contentious and don’t last long.
  2. Capricorn is the 2nd House of my chart.

2nd house has to do with how I earn my money and what I take in my body. Natally, I have a debilitated Moon.

Money for me comes and goes just like the Moon waxes and wanes. I’ve had moments of financial safety and security but I too have had scarcity, limitations and moments of starvation.

Pluto has been in my 2nd house since 2008 so the theme of money and wealth has been getting the Pluto treatment. How much money I earned versus what I make now has changed immensely. How I earn my money, how I view it and how I spend too has had its transformations.

Back when the company I worked for in 2008 wouldn’t give me a raise despite my stellar performance because I couldn’t get past a Capricornian barrier, to where I am today where I get to raise my own prices when I feel like the work I do has increased in value.

If the Capricorn part of your chart is in your 6th house, maybe you’re finally at the last stages of a health crisis. If it’s your 8th house, you probably went through a lot with debt, death or confrontations with your shadow self. And if you’re too lazy to do this astrology stuff, then just think back the last 16 years:

“How have I given my power away?”
“Have I controlled, manipulated and destroyed others driven by the intense hunger of my desire for success?”
“How have I learned from these experiences (if at all) and how do I continue to grow?”

Remember that the heaviness and betrayals that you are currently feeling are just Pluto’s way of giving you one final push so you can finally move on to a new territory.

Pluto stations direct on the 11th of October and will finally ingress into Aquarius by November 19th where it will be for the next 19 years of your life. So. Are you gonna be smart, cool and collected about the trials, or are you gonna bewail and act like a petulant child? We all got free will and that’s your choice honey. Be smartz y’all.

sexy like a capricorn moon,
