Sup, Unicorn Cult? How has Venus AND Mercury Retrograding at the same time been treating y’all??? I was at awe of how LITERAL the Mercury Rx manifestations could get, so it’s been an interesting week trying to get my electronics to charge.
ANYWAY! On to our topic…
Within one week, 2 different clients asked me about MANIFESTING. One is a Theta Healing student and wanted my “expert advice” on the matter, and the other who was ranting on how it doesn’t seem to work — also wanted my input on it.
It’s a tough subject with most of us growing up with the scarcity mindset (“Money doesn’t grow on trees, dearie”) versus the social media obsessed environment we live in today with the amazing marketing of the Wellness Industry telling you that “You can have ANYTHING you want. We have the secret.”
Hold my beer as I choke on my own vomit.

I started my spiritual journey wide-eyed and ready. It was my Saturn Return (late 20s early 30s) and I was ready to heal my shit and get everything my heart desired!
Thing is, it doesn’t work that way. You WON’T get everything your heart desires, and you WON’T heal everything. But no one will tell you that because if they did, the wellness industry wouldn’t survive.
Now now, before any of you start throwing tomatoes at me, please let me explain that OF COURSE WELLNESS has its benefits. I wouldn’t be in it if it were shit. I wouldn’t be in if I didn’t believe in what I do. But that’s exactly it…as time went on, what I was practicing started to evolve. I went from being this “Magical Healer” and “Tarot Reader”, to someone you can consult and talk about things with. Instead of promising to heal your illness and manifest wealth, we can talk about why the illness started in the first place. We can discuss how you perceive money and what are you doing with it. What are the emotions involved, what are you ingesting? Physically and viscerally. What can we do about it? What are you WILLING to do about it?
Instead of reading the tarot cards and making predictions, I started talking about the current environment. What is going on in your space? What can we do to change the energy? Do we like the most possible scenario, or do we want to steer the ship in a different direction?
It took me years to develop the technique I use today. It took me years to know what kind of healer I wanted to be and how to treat my clients. But we all start somewhere. So let’s backtrack.

I remember sitting in my first Manifesting Class. It was March 2014. It was a class of 8 and we were all excited. We were promised that with these techniques, we could generate whatever we wanted. We were all dying to try them out and start becoming FILTHY RICH! Emphasis on filthy.
There were the common things you hear which I am sure has infiltrated your IG feed every so often:
“Set clear intentions“
“You need to keep positive company close”
“Release what you don’t need so new things can enter”
“Visualize what you want”
“Don’t say I want, say I have“
“Have a vision board“
yadayadayada. If you’re lucky, you enroll in a class that teaches you to work on blocks and belief systems.
You know all of that. They’re all true by the way. I’m not saying they don’t work. They do. But it’s so much more than that.
I remember very distinctly one particular day in class. We were to write down all of what we wanted and share it in front of everyone. One of my classmates stood up and started sharing his manifestations of having a penthouse in New York, a private jet, being a well known billionnaire, and other stuff that I don’t remember. I was thinking to myself “Oh wow, I wonder if he can really do all that” while watching the reaction of my teacher.
Until this very day, I love my teacher. I am so so grateful to have had her. Yes, she marketed the class a certain way and yes, it was still a business for her. But despite this, she was still a good teacher.
She leaned back, a calm expression on her face. She didn’t applaud him when he had finished, and instead started dissecting his manifestations. With a feeling of betrayal, he listened to her tell him that he needed to GROUND his goals. They needed to be ATTAINABLE.
Wait wait…I thought Manifesting was about attaining the unattainable?
Later on she explained that especially as beginners, we SHOULDN’T SET OURSELVES UP FOR FAILURE. We shouldn’t just start manifesting a car, or a house, or a boyfriend. We had to do the work. We had to be clear about the WHYs. We had to know that these things were for our highest and best. That our intentions were good and it too was what the Universe wanted for us.
So it was discombobulating and a bit of a paradox. It confused most of us, but that being said, it was still a manifesting class, and we graduated with the belief that we could all be rich and win lotteries within months.
Months came and went, and none of us won an insane amount of money. Some of us did get cool things. But for the most part, we were mostly bummed out and retreated to the “it doesn’t work” mentality.
Over the next few years I tried different tricks. Writing manifestations in the 5×55 method. Crystal grids. Guided meditations. Abundance classes. Healing activations. Drinking elixirs. Mantras, chants. Binural beats. Sacrificing my cats to the Gods. (silence). I’m kidding.
Again. I’m not saying they didn’t work. They did. They worked. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t do all these things. I wouldn’t be as relaxed and stress free as I am today if I didn’t go through all these things.
So what am I yapping about then?
Well, they didn’t work the way I expected them to.
I expected to have millions in my bank account. Instead, I am independent, I pay my bills on time and I’m doing well.
I expected to have the greatest man in the planet. Instead, I learned that I’m the greatest woman in the planet.
I expected to have all my health issues cleared. Instead, I learned to work with the constitution I was given and curate it in the best way I could.
I expected to be traveling the world with my wealth. Instead, I travel through gates, portals and timelines and am wealthy in the mind and heart.
I expected to have financial freedom to do whatever I wanted. Instead, I have the freedom to own my time, choose my clients, and watch a movie in the middle of a weekday if I want to.
I changed my perspective of abundance and manifestation.
I changed my perspective of who Brit is and what her purpose is.
I changed my perspective of what is important and how to be content.

Do I want more? Of course I do. There’s so much more that I want and desire. So much more that I want to do and experience.
And then there is this thing called Divine Timing, and I too have learned to surrender to it.
Sometimes ’tis but a blessing in disguise not to get all that we desire. And sometimes, it just takes time.
So. Do what you can. Learn what you can. Try what you can! I’ll never stop you. Experience is the best teacher, after all.
Some of us are meant to win that lotto.
Some of us are meant to have an easier life than others.
Some of us are meant to be Hollywood stars.
Some of us are meant to lead simpler lives.
Some of us are meant to lose a big sum of money.
Some of us are meant to go through painful heartbreaks.
Some of us are meant to try 100 times before succeeding.
And some of us are meant to try something else after the 2nd failure.
My point is that we are all different with different lessons in life. Just because Timmy got a gold star doesn’t mean you have to have a gold star too. It doesn’t mean you could and should.
Let’s see how abundant we already are now with what we have. Let’s start from here.
Later,
Brit
